It's a party on your feet!

A friend supplied me with a pair of vans and told me to go crazy, the only requirements were: a robot with headphones, a cassette tape, a penguin with a bowtie, lots of bright colors, and randomness! I think I did a pretty good job of delivering those elements if I may say so myself! Enjoy! And of course me being the crazy guy I am, the robot, casette player, and the "just beast" on the back panel all glow in the dark! :O

Pins and glue thats what I do!

So at this stage I'm sticking the fabric panels onto the shoe with sewing pins (which are actually kinda scary lol). Which the pieces being held together with pins I was able to use E-6000 adhesive (see! It even sounds dangerous!!!) to glue certain parts of the fabric together (I had to wear a respirator) cuz i didn't wanna die from the fumes! I 'm still hoping my hair doesn't fall out from it lol!)

Bleach + Denim= fun! :D

I took all the pieces outside and attacked them with bleach! Ten minutes in 90 degree weather is no joke lol! But I'm pleased with the outcome, next time I use bleach I think I'll be a little more subtle though.

More progress

I finished making stencils and cut out all the pieces, and began to fray them for a distressed look then I laid them out together.
