Defending the Title

Well guys there's another custom shoe contest coming up at Customsnkr.com and as you guys should know I've won the contest and have been crowned the "Customsnkr Custom King" and have maintained my title from January- present! Of course I'll enter my "Amazing Spiderdunks" and whatever random amazingness I can come up with before the October 1st. deadline... AND YOU KNOW i WONT DISSAPOINT!!!!!!!!!!!

My Fashion Sense is Tingling!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you "The Amazing Spider-dunks", based on "The Amazing Spiderman" comic series. These shoes feature comic book sidepanels and a gloss on matte spiderweb effect on the swoosh and lace area. The last pic is the base shoe (what I started with).

Operation Chimera

These were my latest experiment on my experimental dunks, I dyed the swoosh that purple-ish color (which was supposed to be dark red), I added denim to the toebox, I stuffed the tongues, I painted the tag and back tab, I used a wood burning pen and made the croc print around the toebox (yes I did that myself, it's a real texture not an illusion), and I painted the area around the toebox black. The laces dont match anything but hey they cost me like 6 bucks and I like how they look anyway. I sometimes get urges to buy SB laces in the most random colors as you see...

Vacation

I'll be in sunny sunny Orlando starting Saturday for a whole week! Sadly I may not have Internet access. I know what you guys are thinking "But Jason, if you go who will supply us with our daily dose of ridiculousness?" Now before you guys get all Sean Kingston suicidal on me I'd like you to think about this. I'm a real person with real needs, not some awesome robot that just shoots out awesomeness 24-7 (although it is rumoured that I emit waves of awesomeness over a 36 1/2 mile radius. People who wake up grumpy just don't live close enough to me!), so I guess I'm taking a week to recharge my awesomeness as well as share it with the good people at Orange Lake the best resort and timeshare in Florida! So it is expected that you'll miss me, maybe cry a little, but when I come back you'll have a new found appreciation for my awesomeness!!!

Words of Wisdom: Choices

Many of my closest friends see me as an insightful, optimistic, intelligent person ( I know sounds pretty ridiculous doesn't it... I mean...I paint shoes!!?), and from time to time I get a sudden rush of genius and I bestow them with my words of wisdom, you kids are know a part of the lucky few that get to witness my genius!!! I present to you... WORDS OF WISDOM:Numero Uno!!! Today we'll be talking about choices. In life there are essentially two choices we have relating to where we want to be: Wait or Create!

You can sit on your ass or go make things happen, remember that the most talented people aren't the famous ones, it's those who actually seek opportunity instead of waiting for it! Always remember that life isn't against us... but it isn't working in our favor either, when something bad happens you can either blame the world or change the world!(Damn I'm good, maybe I should be a motivational speaker!)

The Climb

Okay kids here's what this whole blog thing is about... this is my journey, to happiness, to my destiny, to the rest of my life, to the future, to recognition, to BEAST status. Ladies and gentlemen I am embarking on a lifelong journey to cement myself in history, for what I don't know but for something. I WILL make myself successful and then make a difference in the world, not just by painting shoes but by living, by not compromising my beliefs, by being myself. This world is a horrible and wonderful place, and I have taken it upon myself to make it a little bit better. My art is just a small part of that ( and that is probably the last time you will hear me refer to my art as a small part of ANYTHING). I will succeed in life, in whatever I want because I believe in myself, and I believe that GOD won't allow me to fail. As for customizing, I've never said I want to make it a profession, I just said that my future will include fashion and art, and customizing will be a large part of that. So many people end up in professions that don't satisfy them, because they dont believe enough in themselves, because someone told them they can't survive doing what they love, because someone told them no and they accepted it. I believe life is about people being happy and interacting. I WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IN MY JOURNEY! "There's always going to be another mountain. I'm always gonna wanna make it move.
